About Jason Sneed DO
Born and raised in Manassas, VA, Dr. Jason Sneed received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Virginia before earning his medical degree from Edward Via Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008.
Dr. Sneed completed his residency in Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment at Fireland's Regional Medical Center in Sandusky, OH, and an additional specialty residency in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, ME. He is now Board Certified by both the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine.
Throughout his residency and career as a physician, Dr. Sneed has made it a priority to assist in the education of fellow and future physicians. He has co-authored a paper, Evidence-Based OMT for Common Complaints, won an award for his paper, Osteopathic Manipulation for Common Obstetric Complaints, lectured for students from numerous medical schools – most recently at the Virginia Osteopathic Medical Association – and regularly hosts shadowing opportunities for pre-meds and hands-on rotations for 4th year medical students in his office.
In January of 2013, Dr. Sneed realized his personal goal of opening Old Dominion Osteopathic Medicine, his own single-physician, family-run medical practice, in order to bring natural, holistic osteopathic care to the Fredericksburg community.
In 2019 Dr. Sneed was named as one of the top 10 Osteopathic Physicians in the nation, voted by the American Osteopathic Foundation.
